Tivo remote not working with new batteries.
In the past few weeks the remote control for my Tivo Premier has not responded immediately at first try in the morning. Obviously I thought to change the batteries. But before I did that I checked the voltage with my multimeter and both 1.5V AA batteries indicated 1V each. So 1V batteries barely work and the light on the top of the remote is dim.

Everything works great but I can not get the Bose Solo 5 Soundbar programmed into the TIVO remote. Any one have suggestions?The 90% solution is to press the Format button on the Tivo quite rapidly and at the same time, press the pause button rapidly. After 5 or 10 seconds, the Tivo starts responding normally to the remote button presses and I'm back in business. Not ideal, but definitely better than rebooting.Nope. I tried a full remote reset and repair.. Nope. I disconnected the tivo box from the power supply and removed the remote control batteries and left for a good 10min also pressing power buttons prior to reconnecting to clear any residual power in both units. I could be directly in front of the tivo and it doesnt respond. So try new batteries. Then try things like rebooting the TiVo and reprogramming the TiVo and remote to make sure one or the other didn't forget the remote address you use.
