Alternatively a ranged ranger as per the usual builds is fairly self explanatory. You could go a bit more interesting perhaps though to capitalize on the Close-range nature of the Horizon walker. Normal Longbow Ranger, Sharpshooter and Archery is fairly self-explanatory.

Greatsword just works for Horizon Walker. If you want to optimize for highest sustained single target damage, you're going to multiclass out of horizon walker at level 5. Whether you multiclass out or not, ranged is going to be better damage. Get sharpshooter and crossbow expert feats, and get yourself a hand crossbow.
