Honda charges $100 to diagnose the problem (waived if I send it to them for repair). I wanted to know if there were anyway I would be able to fix the issue myself or with help of a mechanic. Flashing key means it's not the correct code in the key. Do you have a key that'll start the car? The code is encoded in the ECU. You could swap ECU's and key locks as long as the new ECU comes with at least one working key. I imagine the dealer could make you a proper key too based on the VIN.
