Yeah I feel like I looked this up for the PS3 katamari, which uses the sixaxis for the "hop" thing. Sadly, all of the things I found online say that the PS4 controllers are compatible but the motion sensing stuff will not work. I was personally never able to find a PS4 controller with motion control that worked on the PS3. Sorry.

Really late but with certain games you probably cant. I just tried playing Max Payne 3 with ps5 and 4 controller and you couldn’t even get through the “press Start button to start game” section. Very odd. I recommend just trying to find a ps3 controller somehow or only play games that’ll work with the next gen controllers. Just sucks
