This morning I logged into the XB8-T we interface and discovered that Bridge mode has been re-enabled, thereby re-enabling the built-in wifi. If you have no other recourse, resetting it back to factory defaults by depressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear for 30 seconds will default it to being disabled again. When doing it this way, you will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch if you do the latter.

If you're going to proceed with a mixed network, the only solution is to wire the eero to the xfi gateway, so you need to get Ethernet from the gateway to the area of low coverage. I think it would be problematic to have the Eero use the same SSID (WiFi network name) as the Xfinity network, so you'll have to run that as it's own network ...
