Having a problem with a K1 LS 4.125” crank and was wondering if anyone else has ran into this. Using their 6.125” rod as well as custom Racetec pistons. The crank counterweights are hitting the pistons @ pin boss which is approx .225” thickness. We’re thinking of cutting down the counterweights and re-balancing however K1 hasn’t given ...

You could use a pair of much smaller turbos and reach your goals. One of my customers went a 6.89 at 3150 lbs with a pair of 80's on a 509 BBC with BB2 xtra heads. If you need the room you could go with the 76's and run really fast. The tuneup is the most important part of any turbo combo. Patrick Barnhill.E50 has basically has the same rating on the anti knock index as e85. It's like .1 octane difference between e50 and e85. Its not octane as much as cylinder cooling with additional fuel that make the higher percentages slightly beneficial. I feel like its done by 1000-1100 whp. Thats a good bit in a s400 76. Might only get to 900-1000. That pump and injectors on methanol will be close to done by then too. I suspect the turbo was out of gas. I swapped to twin 7875s for more volume available with what I thought would be less heat at 15+psi. Also I thought it'd give the ability to go on up to 30-35psi given the same long block. I'm shooting for 8.50-8.20s at current weight, which is where I got the boost number.
