Well I was in the process of doin this when one of them snapped! Well I got on here and I have read that it supposed to be 22 ft lbs. While other people and sites have said it was 52 ft. lbs.
May 6, 2016 · C3 Tech/Performance - Pressure Plate to Aluminum Flywheel torque specs. - When I was using a steel / Cast flywheel I used 45ft lbs for the pressure plate to flywheel torque (blue loctite). What would I use for the same bolt but the flywheel is Aluminum. Nothing in the instructions other than factory torque. The car... The shorter bolts need to be torqued down to 11 ft-lbs and then an 80 degree turn. The longer bolts can be tightened down using 15 ft-lbs and then a 40 degree turn. When you get to it the water pump pulley bolts and the fan clutch bolts can be tightened down to 10 ft-lbs. Anyway, the torque specs: Flywheel to crank: 89 lb-ft.
