The charged L2 of the grave scythe seems to always interrupt her attack animations so if you time it right with your mimic tear you can both stunlock Miquella for the entire first phase using a combination of L2 and R1 combo over and over.

The BHF is often considered the "easy mode" weapon for this game. I use the grave scythe a fair amount in pvp. It's very fun to use. The jump and crouch attacks are great. Not to mention you can also pair it with a lot of great ash of wars. As for ash of wars specifically, sword dance, and spinning slash are awesome.
