May 13, 2023 · The two guns have very different trigger and grip safety systems. The 1911 has 3 different length triggers avaliable, as well as 2 different main spring housings, (arched or flat) and different width grips, all on these can be used the custom fit the gun to your hand and trigger finger length. The Equalizer has none of this.

I purchased mine and was lucky to pick up the S&W M&P 45, M2.0 ported, core and 5.6 barrel. Had for 3 weeks but haven't been to range yet. It appears to have been refinished but not by S&W at some point. A good cleaning and treatment for any rusting and it should make a good shooter. The 13 round magazine adds 5/8” of an inch to the grip (which gives me a full grip but barely making the cut) while the 15 round magazine adds a full 1 inch to the length with plenty of room for a full grip. It just feels much much better and I will definitely use for my edc.

Actually quite accurate for a 2.5" barrel, and I was impressed by the smooth cycle and reasonable recoil for a firearm so small. I already own a Shield but the Shield Plus has intrigued me since it came out. I really like the extra capacity and today I finally pulled the trigger. It's dimensionally almost identical to my Shield, but the short mag holds 10 rounds instead of 7, and the longer mag holds 13 instead of 8. I lurk at pistol forum, apparently one of the members there had a lot of input into this. I’d love a 3 inch version or even better a K Frame. Omitting the Hilary hole and usable sights are a major step in the right direction. I’m optimistic about the future of new Smith revolvers going forward. From what I have been reading on these and other forums, the 25-2 was a great gun and very accurate too, but I haven't seen much mentioned about the ammo used.Most definitely, saves the time and effort to fit the screw to the crane. Use the new style plunger with a piece of drill rod behind it instead of the spring. The older cranes had a square slot milled around the post on the crane. A square nosed screw went into that slot to retain the crane.
