Jul 25, 2023 · Sugarloaf is unique among New England ski areas because of its size, character, challenge, remoteness, extraordinary beauty and, yes, its people. Rival ski areas like Stowe and Killington have some great terrain, but they don’t have the Sugarloaf vibe. I came to Sugarloaf from Massachusetts 22 years ago.
This isn't true. US fire season is off to a slow start. Lots of lift projects are ahead of schecule. Massanutten in Virginia ordered their high speed quad two years ago and it's nearly finished with chairs on. Loon is also almost done. Whistler's 8pack is ahead of schedule.
