Exact same issue here. It stops upside down with the yellow light flashing insanely fast. Only solution is to unplug it, plug it back in and watch it spin 1.5 rotations and it will be back to normal. Until the next time. And Litter Robot doesn't seem to help. Mine is still under warranty.
If you have a solid yellow light but the Litter-Robot doesn't turn, it means there's a problem with the connection between the motor and the circuit board. It can also be caused by a defective motor. We suggest you to take a look at the motor connectors and possibly exchange the motor for a new one.
