I have 2017 Chrysler Pacifica eHybrid plug-in. I was stranded was a "Service Shifter" message and my car was stuck in Park and had to be towed back to my house late at night. It resolved the next day, so I was able to drive it to the dealer -- who kept it for week and half before even looking at it.

The problems you describe sound suspiciously like the issues many others have experienced when their batteries age to a less than optimal charge. Perhaps your dealer charged your batteries when they performed the ground recall. This might explain why it worked ok for a while.
