I have a 2000 kawasaki vulcan 1500 classic that has a problem starting. I turn on the ignition switch and the spedometer lights up as well as the turn signal lights. I press the starter button and it does not turn over at all. If I keep pressing the button several times it may start eventually. Once it turns over it starts easy enough.

Choke seems to be engaged all the way although I have to hold lever down to keep it there. Plan to replace plugs but local stores are telling me diferent things. Plugs in it are ngk dpr7ea9.
