Apr 17, 2011. Messages. 1. Tractor. John Deere ELC. Just bought a JD 690E LC and it needs some hydraulic fluid. I have read JD sent out a service letter saying to use 15W40 motor oil because JD hydraulic fluid did not displace water properly in the 690E LC pumps. Any one heard about this?
