Member. Oct 12, 2023. #4. I had a couple broke off of my 4020 and I used JB weld on them. Make sure the surfaces are clean and I roughed them up with some really coarse sandpaper so that the JB weld had something to bite. I have had them on for 6 months and so far so good. C.
If it's a side console tractor it can be in the PTO valve. 4-Plate on the bottom of the rockshaft housing is cracked or loose. 5-possibly an internal leak in the main pump, but not likely. 40/20vision. A PRESSURE GAUGE WILL SHOW THIS SURGE.

disconnect all the lines & linkages.. remove the side cover on the pump, 2 flat head screws, drain.. 2 lines under the side cover, 1 is stationary & 1 rotates.. rotate engine until BOTH lines line-up & stop.. Now remove the 2 or 3 nuts holding the pump down & pull up.. DONE.

Off and on hay use would not keep the batteries charged. Alternator supposed to charge better at slower speeds and shorter run times. At least that is why the owner said he swapped it out.
