I tought it might be the new build that messed things up so i downloaded the old build and still get the black screen. Any ideas how to fix this could the games files got corrupted maybe which would mean i would need to re-download the game. Try and set the resolution scale to 720p, p5 on the ps3 was never really meant to run at anything over 720p.
