Jan 2, 2014 · Honda Rancher Transmission Problems. My 2008 Rancher quit shifting so I took it to my dealer last fall. It had stripped some teeth off of the shift modulator and also had some water in it. He replaced the damaged parts but can't get it to shift electrically. It will shift with the manual gear changer so everything is fine mechanically. The latest models to join the DCT party were the X-ADV and GL1800 Gold Wing in 2017. At the moment there are seven 2020 Honda Models currently available with DCT, which are the NC700S, NC700X, Integra, VFR1200x Crosstourer, X-ADV, Gold Wing and the Africa Twin. Tim King. The dct are great I have the first year 2015 no problems at all. The 2017 are said to shift smoother with new shift points. Takes a few miles to break them in after that smother as butter. The low range comes in handy for plowing or going down steep hills the engine braking is the same as foot shift model.

I have been having the same issues as I have read on here since the first time I drove my new atv. Started off working great in auto. Started using it in ESP mode and it was shifting good.Rather than leave it for 8 hours, just reset it when needed. google the reset. It is key off, in neutral, press up and down at the same time, turn key and release up and down at the same time, when you hear angle sensor going through a cycle then press throttle open and release. I see the DCT as a non hydraulic automatic, the Rincons have torque converter, the Rubicon Honamatics are hydraulic pumps in reverse.
