Lenovo hinge issues.
I've had an Ideapad that developed a hinge problem ripping the case near the hinge and their technician won't warranty it since they concluded that it falls under regular wear and tear and not a manufacturing defect. Also we have 3 thinkpads in the office that had the same hinge issue. What's common with those Lenovo laptops have all plastic build.

I have a Yoga series from black friday in '17 that the defective hinges, which are a known issue in all 700 series by Lenovo for some time, broke through the right lower side. Mine broke today. Done with Lenovo for sure. Found a few videos of people fixing with screws or rivet guns.
