Oil light flickering at idle. Yesterday just bought a 2016 Kia Soul Exclaim 2.0L from an individual with 105,000 miles. This morning I was sitting in the drivethru at the bank for about 15 minutes and I noticed the oil light flickering. Not on steady, but randomly flickering. As soon as I'd rev the engine, the light would go out.

I have a 2018 Kia that started making a tapping noise about 1 month ago (no engine light, very low noise) before actually starting to shake and not accelerate. I’ve done oil changes regularly & just did a tune up. The check engine light goes from blinking to solid once I ran it, (stoped running it).
The 2015 2.0 litre Soul was idling "rough". By "rough", I mean, that it was not steady. Every now and then, the RPMs would drop before going back up. Most folks would not notice. I do. So I decided to clean the throttle body air intake valve and area, something I have not yet done on the Kia but have done a few times on Nissan off-road vehicles.
