Differential Question. I have a manual IS300 with the OEM Torsen Diff. I also have an auto IS300 open diff which is not currently inside a diff housing (internals only) I know for a fact that you can swap the actual entire diff from auto to manual without any issues, but I'm wondering mostly about the internals (actual diff portion).My existing half shafts have 27 splines and are thin. The new differential has 30 splines. Someone told me that there is a difference between the half shafts of a non LSD IS300. further saying that there maybe some difference of half shaft whether it is a Torsen type 1 or type 2. I personally went with a y38 brz diff since it’s more updated and cheaper to source and its also the same assembly the only thing you might have to with the brz LSD is either 1. Get the 2 bolts that hold the brz lsd because the is300 diff bolts don’t fit 2. Sand down the is 300 diff bolts or 3. Swap the bushings on the assembly.
