There are still portraits in this version but no butterflies. It just depends on how much you disike the Wildlife game. I started playing Wordscapes in early 2019 because I love words and have never cared about all the bells and whistles PF has added since then. This is probably the most pure version of a word game that you can get at this point.

EDIT 2: OP, I forgot to mention that if you don't play and enter the tournament, you can go into the game some time on Sunday afternoon, and it'll be over for you, even if it's still going on for people that have been playing in it. It's kind of like if you don't play and "register", once it gets to a certain time on Sunday, it's too late to play.
